Consultants Disclosure Rule for Georgia Local Governments

Effective July 1, 2019, consultants who advise or assist local governments in developing specifications or solicitation requirements must enter an agreement that requires the consultant to avoid the appearance of impropriety and to disclose any material conflicts of interests.[1] Notably, any person may bring an action to declare as void any purchase in violation of the statute, as well as to seek damages and injunctive relief against any person who makes a bid or proposal in violation of the statute.
