A member of the Georgia Bar since 1993, Mark has represented and advised clients including Georgia System Operations Corporation, Southeastern Data Cooperative, Georgia Transmission Corporation, many electric distribution cooperatives both in and out of Georgia, Wachovia Bank, R.J. Reynolds, Construction Market Data Group, Policy Systems Management Corporation, MCI Worldcom and Ray Scott, founder of B.A.S.S., in litigation and general corporate matters involving such diverse subjects as the formation, interpretation and administration of contracts (including power purchase and system operations agreements, employment contracts and non-compete provisions), administrative law (including compliance with federal statutes and applicable reliability standards), alternative dispute resolution, officer and director liability, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, and common law torts.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, Mark received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, magna cum laude, where he was an Associate Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review, and he received his Bachelor of Arts from Friends University with Honors. While in law school, he authored an article on the 1992 revisions to Georgia’s workers’ compensation laws. (9 Ga. St. L. Rev. 285 (1992).) Prior to entering the practice of law, Mark received a Master of Divinity, magna cum laude, from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, served as pastor to congregations in the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ, and taught and supervised students as adjunct faculty at Candler and at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia.

Mark primarily works out of the firm’s North Atlanta (Cumberland) Office.
