Born in New York, Jason received his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006. While in law school, he was a member of the criminal law society, and competed on the Mock Trial team. Jason started his legal career at the Public Defender’s Office in Duval County Jacksonville Florida. Over a decade in Criminal Defense, he represented thousands of clients with charges from misdemeanors to homicide and conducted over 70 jury trials. After relocating to Atlanta, Jason was interested in translating his skills of criminal trial to the civil field. Jason accepted a position as in house counsel for an insurance firm and was able to earn experience defending different kinds of cases and gain valuable knowledge. Now at Autry, Hall & Cook, Jason can use those prior professional experiences to assist the needs of our clients in construction litigation and transactional matters, and business and utility litigation.
Jason is married to Katie Gropper, and in his free time, he likes to explore new places to run, travel, and see live music.
